Time.com reports the new Tesla facility is expected to bring 6,500 much-needed jobs to the area. The Reno Gazette-Journal says the project is employing 1,000 construction workers, which will jump to 2,500 as four different phases of construction are completed. Tesla has nearly tripled its Nevada land purchases since its original purchase of 1,000 acres in 2014, some of which could include future solar farms to power the factory.
